Rock Musician. He was a co-founder and guitarist of the legendary, ground-breaking rick band ‘The Ramones.’ Some of their hit songs include ‘Blitzkrieg Bop,’ ‘Beat On The Brat,’ and ‘I Wanna Be Sedated.’ The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. At age 56, knowing the end was near, he asked to have inscribed on his monument ‘If a man can tell if he’s been successful in his life by having great friends, then I have been very successful.’ Several of those friend have engraved parting words on the side, such as ‘A dedicated punk and loyal Friend.
